How to identify a merchant?

If your legal entity is currently located in Brasil, you can safely ignore this guide.

We require all international clients that desire to use Trio in their day-to-day operations to have compliance information for each one of their clients in Brasil, which will represent your client to us legally. Since we intermediate the whole process of sending money back and forth, having a legal entity to represent is needed for us to make secure and approvable transactions.

When starting out with the Onboarding process, you will need to send us every merchant you will make business with so our Compliance team can associate each one to a specific virtual account. Then, when getting a list of virtual accounts, you will then be able to see which merchant is associated to a virtual account by the key merchant_id:
